Never Stop Dreaming

Some days I’m a dreamer
Ever since I was a kid
I’d stand in front of the mirror
And try to imagine myself
As an adult
In school I was known
To stare out of the
Classroom window
Trying to imagine
What I’d do for a living
Little did I know
At the time
A guy in Europe
Was inventing a protocol
To freely share scientific
And he called it
The World Wide Web
Much less that I’d learn
The markup language
That he invented for it
Or that I’d make a living at it
Holding a computer
In the palm of my hand
Now I do more than code
But I still find myself
Staring out of the window
Day dreaming
Of a brighter tomorrow
I want to improve
Get better
Keep moving
Toward progress
Never stop dreaming
